Course description:
Through taught content, polls, discussions and scenarios, this 3 hour interactive webinar will cover the following four modules:
Module 1: Policies and Practices.
Learn about what policies and practices you need to have in place, and how these work together to help your charity become a safer place.
Module 2: Risks.
We want to be risk-aware, not risk-averse and make sure we’re taking responsibility for both direct and indirect harms that might occur.
Module 3: Protect.
Identify the groups that need specific consideration in our safeguarding efforts and facing the reality of power dynamics at play in many of our charities.
Module 4: Report.
Who, when, what and how should we report externally? With a focus on the essential relationship between trustees and the safeguarding lead, we consider how reporting is a habit of a healthy and safer organisation.
