You will need to allow at least 90 minutes for this eLearning course and you have 12 months in which to complete it from date of purchase.

Course description:
This course is an in-depth look at some of the subjects covered in our Online DBS and Eligibility webinar. It is for members who use us as their DBS umbrella body and for Recruiters who are registered with us as responsible for the DBS process within that organisation. The course will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to make decisions on whether a role requires a disclosure and if so, at what level.
It can be extremely challenging to apply eligibility criteria within the voluntary and faith sector, but during this eLearning we will impart our years of experience to guide and support you in this complex area. Incorrectly interpreting DBS requirements can have far-reaching effects, but this course will fully explain the who, how and why of eligibility and aims to fully support you in your role.
The format allows for greater explanation of the DBS requirements and you are able to pause and repeat if required. Questions at the end of each section help illustrate if there are any areas you need to re-visit as well as those where your knowledge is sound.

Learning objectives
By the end of this eLearning course, you should have:
- A good understanding of what is contained within enhanced disclosures and eligibility criteria.
- A good knowledge about Basic Disclosures and where these can be useful.
- An understanding of Standard Disclosures and why these are often not able to be requested
- A full awareness of the DBS Update Service and how this can help remove the need for applicants to apply for multiple disclosures.
- Knowledge of how to obtain criminal record checks from overseas and an awareness of the risks of not carrying these out
