• The three different referral routes into the Disclosure and Barring Service.
• When Barring referrals should be made and where there is a legal duty to refer.
• Relevant Conduct and Harm Test in relation to barring referral.
• How to make a good quality referral.
• The consequences of not making appropriate barring referrals
• What it means if someone is included in one or both Barred Lists
