Safeguarding often involves working with individuals who have experienced trauma, which can have a profound emotional impact on those of us providing support. Practising self-care is essential in preventing burnout and ensuring we can consistently support those who need it most. This webinar will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to keep your role sustainable.

Our speaker is Ruth Stephens, founder and CEO of Join the Dots, a charity dedicated to equipping the church to be more accessible to those with complex backgrounds. Ruth has been involved in church leadership for many years and is a registered Occupational Therapist. She has worked therapeutically in a specialist trauma therapy clinic and in Social, Educational and Mental Health needs schools. She holds an MSc in Attachment studies, a diploma in Occupational Therapy and counselling certificates.

Together with Ruth, we will explore:

  1. Staying regulated
  2. Support, networks and accountability
  3. Boundaries and burnout

This webinar will be interactive, with some teaching, discussion and time for your questions.
