Peer Reflection Sessions
Peer reflection is designed to give you an opportunity to apply learning from our Safeguarding Leads course and is not a standalone course - once you have completed the course, you will then be sent a link to book onto a date of your choice.
Course details:
The course will be presented by one of our team of professional and experienced trainers and will include presentation slides, film clips and small group exercises to help delegates learn the content effectively. The session is delivered at a steady pace for those who are familiar with safeguarding terminology. This course is now all nations friendly.

Course description:
This course is for people who hold lead responsibility for safeguarding children and adults within their church, organisation or charity. The aim of this course is to equip them with an enhanced awareness of safeguarding specifically within a faith context over and above that of other staff or volunteers for which they are the point of contact.
The course builds upon the learning gained from attending our core courses and delegates will be required to have completed basic safeguarding training whether with Thirtyone:eight or elsewhere.
The course is 4 Nations friendly and pre-reading is required - you will be provided with relevant resources when you book onto the course.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand their role in relation to other roles within the safeguarding context (both internally and externally), what their role might look like, what support is available for them, why their wellbeing is important (especially when they may be dealing with complex situations) and how understanding our own attitudes and value systems can help us to be better practitioners.
- Know how to create good safeguarding practice what skills/knowledge should you have? How do you gain that? Where can you go to for support?
- Recording and referring concerns know when to refer on to statutory agencies, what the key areas of concern might be and what contact details and information you should source in advance
- Know how to embed safeguarding culture Identify the traits, understand clear leadership and governance
